Welcome.

I am revamping the OLD DaveCockman.com, which was my blog during my thru-hike of the Appalachian Trail in 2006. The old blog will still be available for those that want to go and read about my daily trials and tribulations during the AT thru hike, by clicking on the link at the top of the site.. But, I want to now start a new blog, to encompass the planning and execution of my next great adventure, which will be running a marathon or ultra-marathon in all 50 states of the union and also to run and finish the Badwater ultra-marathon in Death Valley, CA. A race that has been called the "toughest race on earth". I will write my race reports here, which will include my thoughts and experiences, before, during and after each race and I will have seperate links to all of the pictures that I take during my races. I hope you will enjoy the new site!
